The Civil Service People Survey 2010 was carried out amongst over half a million civil servants across 103 departments and agencies. The survey was conducted within the Welsh Assembly Government from 28 September to 22 October 2010.

The survey measured employee engagement and, through statistical analysis, identified what is driving engagement across the organisation. Employee engagement is about the extent to which staff are connected to the organisation and committed to achieving its objectives. Employee engagement is important because it is well established that the higher the level of employee engagement, the better an organisation performs.
