National Survey for Wales Quality Report

This report details how the survey adheres to measures of quality.

Headline results, April 2012 - March 2013

A Statistical First Release presenting the first full year’s results from the National Survey for Wales has been produced by the Welsh Government. It was released on 30 May 2013 according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority.  

Results are based on around 14,500 face-to-face interviews across Wales carried out between April 2012 and March 2013.  For the first time, results are available down to local authority and Local Health Board level as well as at national level.

The previous First Release was based on interviews carried out between January 2012 and March 2013 and was released on 27 September 2012.

Future publication timetable

  • Summer 2013: further analysis of the 2012-13 Wales and local authority level results;
  • Spring 2014 and annually thereafter: detailed results at Wales and local authority level (Wales-level results based on interviews in the previous financial year; LA-level results based on interviews in the previous two financial years).
