First Minister Rhodri Morgan today (Friday, 14 January) appointed two new Deputy Ministers.

Tamsin Dunwoody-Kneafsey has been appointed to the post of Deputy Minister for Economic Development and Transport, replacing Dr Brian Gibbons who was appointed Health and Social Services Minister earlier in the week.

Christine Chapman will also become a Deputy Minister working with both the Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning and the Minister for Finance, Local Government and Public Services.  Her focus in the Education portfolio will be on skills, including education and training of 14–19 year olds.  

Jeff Cuthbert will replace Christine Chapman as Chair of the Objective One Monitoring Committee.
