Written Statement - 2010-11 Capital Allocations

Today I would like to announce the allocation of an additional £47 million of Capital resources to a number of Assembly Government portfolios.

This announcement is made possible by the release of our central reserves and the use of forecast underspends in our capital budgets. 

These budget increases are aimed with two key objectives in mind: to help support jobs in difficult economic times; and to help ensure that the vulnerable in our society are protected.  These changes demonstrate that we are committed to making the most of the resources that we have available to us, and that we continue to take forward the principles contained in One Wales.
