James Turner

An experienced Non-Executive Director, James Turner has served on a number of boards of private companies and public sector organisations for over ten years. In the public sector, this currently includes Ministry of Defence: Navy Command Board and the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust at Oswestry.

A native of Powys, James Turner spent his early years in Mid-Wales and North Wales. He returned to live near Welshpool over twenty years ago.

After graduating from Cambridge, he pursued an international business career with leading multinationals working progressively throughout the UK, then continental Europe and subsequently was responsible for businesses throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.

He was recruited from the private sector by the former Welsh Development Agency in the mid-1990’s as International Managing Director.

Ten years ago he established his own management consultancy which undertakes board-level interim and strategic consultancy assignments throughout the UK.
