CAFCASS Cymru reports that it is meeting targets despite significant growth in demand for services.
This year the organisation reports that 94% of its public law cases were allocated to specialist practitioners within just two days of referral.
CAFCASS Cymru also exceeded its targets for dealing with private law cases, only 20 out of over 4000 cases were not allocated within the set timescale.
Gillian Baranski, the Chief Executive of CAFCASS Cymru, commented,
This has clearly been another busy year for the organisation and this annual report outlines areas of continued activity and development against a backdrop of increasing demand.
All of the organisation’s staff remain very committed to working hard to improve outcomes for children involved in family proceedings, and we will work together to address these challenges over the coming year.
