In Safe Hands - The role of Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW)
This document replaces the earlier guidance on the role of the Inspectorate, set out in the 2003 update.
It reflects the integration of the former Care Standards Inspectorate for Wales and the Social Services Inspectorate Wales into the CSSIW.
This document sets out the roles and responsibilities of CSSIW in relation to other statutory bodies including local authorities who have the lead role in coordinating the development of local policies and procedures in adult protection.
