Nurses' agencies 2007-2008
This report provides detailed information about our findings from looking at nurses' agencies in Wales.
Nurses’ agencies in Wales have been subject to regulation since October 2003 and have been inspected by CSSIW since April 2004.
Strengths were identified in relation to:
- The quality and provision of staff handbooks
- Information for service users
However, progress this year has not been sustained in relation to:
- Supervision
- Staff skills and competencies
- Specialist training to perform specific tasks
