Educational provision for looked after children
This report summarises the inspection findings from four local authorities.
During 1999-2000, a small team of Social Services Inspectorate for Wales (SSIW) and Estyn inspectors visited four contrasting local authorities to inspect the educational provision they make for looked after children. At the time of the inspections, the four authorities were responsible for a total of 526 children. The main purpose of the inspection was to report on the quality of education for, and the educational standards achieved by, looked after children.
