Focused review of Caerphilly County Borough Council social services

It outlines the most important evidence gathered throughout the Review, setting out strengths and good practice as well as areas for development. It seeks to give an overview of the way in which the Council carries out its responsibilities for social services in the areas examined by the Review Team. It is not intended to deliver a detailed critique in every area of work.

The Council has been asked to produce an action plan in response to this report and will also be expected to take the findings of the report into account in developing their business and improvement plans. Both CSSIW and the WAO will undertake further work as part of their usual work programmes to evaluate the progress made in delivering these actions and the outcomes for service users and carers.
