This inspection examines the nature, range and quality of child protection services provided by the local authority social services in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The authority has made impressive progress at a political, corporate and strategic level in responding to the findings of the joint review. These changes have yet to achieve a significant, positive impact on the front-line delivery of children.s services. The Vale of Glamorgan must find ways of using its frontline staff, both managers and practitioners, as a key resource in the process of securing service improvement.
