Performance Evaluation of Newport City Council 2006
This evaluation is based on evidence collated by CSSIW and material submitted by the authority.
Newport is consolidating improvements in assessment and care management both in children’s and adult services. Services are working towards improved consistency with fewer gaps. Stronger linkages are still needed between care planning, service delivery planning and statements of purpose however there is good evidence of progress. In line with agreed priorities for last year the authority has acted to increase the monitoring of changing rates and patterns of service demand and internal capacity.
