Performance Management Workbook for Social Services in Wales
Introduction and user guide
Welcome to the Performance Management Workbook. It is an initiative commissioned by the Welsh Assembly Government as part of the Performance Development Project of the Social Services Inspectorate for social services authorities in Wales. The project has been co-ordinated by a small Advisory Group and built around the view that making good use of the skills and techniques of performance management can ensure better use is made of resources - including information - and this should lead to better care and better services.
The Workbook is divided into nine separate books, each designed to be considered as a standalone book in its own right. It should be particularly helpful when priorities about local measures, local resources and local changes are being determined and local courses of action established.
