This evaluation is based on evidence collated by CSSIW and material submitted by the authority.
In February 2006 the report of a Joint Review of the Council’s social services was
published. The review concluded that the Council has mainly good services and
was well placed to sustain and further improve services. It commended the
authority for concentrating on developing good quality services and for a robust
agenda of change, resulting in improved standards of service.
