In a positive meeting, the Minister, Lord Brooks and Mr Bray agreed that there was scope for the Welsh Assembly Government and the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame to work together.

Rhodri Glyn Thomas said:

The Welsh Sports Hall of Fame collection is a unique one and I would like to see more of the collection available for the people of Wales to view. I've agreed that the Welsh Assembly Government will assist the trustees of the Hall of Fame in developing a business case to apply for lottery funding, and also advise them on digitisation of  articles from the collection. We will also explore other ways in which we can work together.

Geoff Bray from the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame said:

The collection contains many irreplaceable treasures, encapsulating much of the history of Welsh sport and its educational value in teaching the younger generation about the inspirational achievements of the past cannot be underestimated.  We had a positive meeting with the Minister and we're looking forward to working with the Assembly Government to bring the Hall of Fame to a wider audience.
