Re-Appointment to the Board of Trustees of the National Library of Wales

Minister for Housing, Regeneration and Heritage Huw Lewis has announced the re-appointment of the Rev Canon Enid Morgan to serve a second term of four years on the Board of Trustees of the National Library of Wales.

Rev Canon Enid Morgan’s current term of appointment ended on 30 September 2011, and she has agreed to serve a further term until 30 September 2015.  

Enid R. Morgan has served for nearly 40 years in the lay and ordained ministry of the Church in Wales and was amongst the first group of women to be ordained priest.  She was until 2005 Vicar of Llangynwyd and Maesteg in the Diocese of Llandaf.  Previously she was Director of the Board of Mission for the Province of Wales, and continues to serve parishes in Aberystwyth and in the rural parishes of Cardiganshire.  She has worked as a journalist, broadcaster and university lecturer, and has edited several Welsh papers and magazines.  Canon Morgan holds no other Ministerial Public Appointments.
