The appointment will run for a (renewable) 3 year term from 1st April 2012 to 31st March 2015.
The Deputy Minister said:
“I am delighted to appoint such a highly regarded employer as Scott Waddington to the important role of Wales Commissioner to the UK Commission for Employment and Skills. The appointment will ensure that the Welsh skills agenda and Welsh employers’ needs are recognised across the UK, and, at the same, time Scott will play a key role in championing the UK Commission’s aim to raise employer ambition and investment in skills.”
The UK Commission for Employment and Skills works with partners across the four nations to maximise skills to help drive enterprise, sustainable growth and job creation across the UK.
This appointment was made in accordance with the Commissioner for Public Appointment’s Code of Practice on Ministerial Appointments.
