Mr Davies recently launched the Welsh Government CAP Reform Consultation for Direct Payments to farmers. A separate consultation paper on the Rural Development Plan 2014-2020 has also been launched.
Over the next few months the Deputy Minister will personally address a series of open meetings across Wales to discuss the practical implications of the reforms.
Mr Davies said:
"It is important to me to hear farmers’ views and I will be asking how these reforms can best serve the industry in Wales."
The meetings are intended to help farmers respond to the CAP reform and RDP consultations (see below). There will be plenty of opportunities for them to express their views and ask questions.
The Deputy Minister will be accompanied by staff from Farming Connect and the Farm Liaison Service who will be available to offer advice and guidance on support available through the Welsh Government.
Although the meetings are open, booking is essential. Contact Einir Haf Davies at Menter a Busnes on 01970 636297 or email: einir.davies@menterabusnes.co.uk
