Assembly Members see unique software in action

Assembly Members had an opportunity to see for themselves today how a unique software system is driving forward performance improvement in public bodies across Wales.

Ffynnon is central to the Assembly Government’s drive to encourage organisations to work together to deliver high quality public services that meet the needs of citizens.

The potentially world class software provides local authorities and other public sector organisations with comprehensive performance, project and risk management support. It allows them to join together and share service information quickly and easily via the internet.

The software is already being used by 30 organisations in Wales including all local authorities, national parks, and Fire & Rescue Services and some noteworthy examples of how the software can be used are already emerging.

Local Government Minister, Dr Brian Gibbons said:

Ffynnon provides a unique opportunity to transform performance management across the public sector. Organisations can now track and drive forward their performance and can also share their information with others.

I am delighted to hear that public bodies across Wales are already using the software as a catalyst for continuous improvements.  Working together in this way we can deliver improvements in the performance of front line public services.
