Piers has arrived in Wales today to take up the challenge of a having a different holiday to his usual ‘fly and flop’ holiday. The week will prove to be an eye opener for Piers as he has never ventured outside Cardiff on previous trips to Wales. He’ll have plenty of opportunity for an adrenaline rush with a sailing lesson at Plas Menai and surfing in the Gower. There will be ample time to taste some of Wales’ best produce from Penderyn Whisky to Joe’s Ice Cream. He’ll play a round at the 2010 Ryder Cup Course at the Celtic Manor and even have an opera singing lesson with the Welsh National Opera in Cardiff Bay. If that isn’t enough, GwdiHw Bar in Cardiff have also organised a festival in his honour ‘Pierstock’ will be Showcase of Welsh bands.
His holiday will be filmed and will be the basis of the new Visit Wales TV advert which will launch in January.
