The additional exhibitions, where the public can share their concerns and better understand the possible transport solutions being considered as part of the M4 Corridor Enhancement Measures Consultation, have been arranged at:
- Friday 11 May at Brynglas House (midday -7pm)
- Tuesday 15 May at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Magor (midday-7pm)
- Thursday 17 May at the Newport Centre (midday-7pm)
Transport Minister, Carl Sargeant said:
" Congestion on the M4 is a big concern for both the residents of Newport and for those that use this route on a daily basis.
" We are already undertaking a number of measures to address this issue but there is a clear demand for a long term solution to this matter.
" We are putting to the people of Newport every possible option for tackling congestion but none of these options are being imposed.
“ I would urge both local residents and drivers to have their say and attend these additional drop-in exhibitions so that we can develop the best solution."
A series of exhibitions and workshops have already been held enabling the public to share their experiences of this particular stretch of the M4 and voice their opinions on how best to tackle these issues.
In addition to the extra exhibitions the consultation has been extended by a month and will now close on 6 July.
