Personal and social education for learners with severe learning difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties
This guidance aims to support schools in making the most of PSE in the education of learners with severe/profound and multiple learning difficulties.
It shows the links between personal and social development in the Foundation Phase (3 to 7) and the PSE Framework (7 to 19) to help teachers select appropriate content for this group of learners. It identifies key strands with indicators of progress for each, starting from early achievement within Routes for Learning.
