Request for Information – reference ATISN 4738

I wrote to you on 14 December 2010 following your request for information regarding the Intra Wales Air Service:
• The annual passenger load capacity (plane passenger capacity x total number of flights);
• Annual passenger numbers;
• Total revenue from fares paid by passengers;
• Subsidy per passenger seat.

I am enclosing some of the information which you requested which is as follows:
• The annual passenger load capacity for 2009 was 17,640;
• Passenger number for 2009 was 12,221;
• We do not hold the information for the fares paid by passengers. The maximum fare is set out as per contract;
• The subsidy per passenger seat was £40.  This is the latest figure we have for the last full year of operation prior to the commencement of the new contract.
