I wrote to you on 12 October following your request for information.
In your request you asked for:
• Written communications, including letters and emails that have been received by and sent to the Minister of Transport and Economy from other Assembly Members, concerning the Ebbw Vale to Newport Railway line between 2007 and 2011.
I am enclosing all of the information which you requested and this is described in the enclosed list at Annex 1 - table of information. Where information concerns names and addresses, including email addresses, of Assembly Member constituents, this has been redacted in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
Some of the information I have found is only available in draft format and there are no records of either the original letters received or the signed letter of reply. The advice that I have received from the Welsh Government Freedom of Information Officer is that, in the absence of signed reply letters, these draft letters are acceptable for the purposes of the search for information.
This search has not included the identification of any Written Assembly Questions as these are already a matter of public record. Should any such items exist, these can be found on the National Assembly for Wales website at http://www.assemblywales.org/bus-home/bus-record-of-proceedings.htm (external site).
