Procurement of high definition footage of locations in Wales (Saesneg yn unig)

The Minister for Business, Enterprise, Technology & Science approved expenditure of £100,000 to procure a film company to produce high definition footage of various locations in Wales as part of Visit Wales’ media relations work.

The Minster for Business, Enterprise, Technology & Science is being asked to approve expenditure of up to £100,000 for Visit Wales to procure a film company to take high definition (HD) footage at various locations in Wales in order to support worldwide media and broadcast requests for Wales footage.

This will produce 3x 1 hour footage of HD video vox-pop interviews, landscapes, events and aerial imagery for the  Wales Coast Path, The Olympics and Family Attractions (at various locations).

This forms part of Visit Wales’s media relations activity in line with its Business Plan for 2011-12.

Welsh Ministers have the power under section 60 of the Government of Wales Act 2006 (c.32) Part 2 to: do anything they consider appropriate to achieve the promotion or improvement of the economic well-being of Wales.
