The First Minister has been asked to approve the creation of a Cardiff Airport Task force and its associated terms of reference.

Welsh Ministers have the power under section 60 (1) (a) of the Government of Wales Act 2006 to do anything they consider appropriate to achieve the promotion or improvement of the economic well-being of Wales.
