NAFWC 23/2001 - New guidance for local planning authorities on European protected species and changes in licensing procedures

This Circular informs all local planning authorities in Wales of revisions to licensing procedures under EC Directive 92/43/EEC (“the Habitats Directive”) for developments affecting European protected species. This Circular supplements the guidance in Planning Guidance (Wales): Planning Policy First Revision (PG(W): PP) and replaces the National Assembly for Wales’ letter to all local planning authorities in Wales of 4 January 2001.
