W-FRSC(08) 07 Performance Measurement Framework and Performance Indicators for Fire and Rescue Authorities

The suite of PIs includes those that have been made statutory by the Fire and Rescue Authorities (Best Value Performance Indicators) (Wales) Order 2008 (SI 2008/450) (“the 2008 Order”) FRAs are reminded that although the 2008 Order will have effect in relation to 2008-09 and subsequent financial years it has been previously agreed that the Statutory PIs will also be reported on and audited for 2007-08.

The Local Government Data Unit will collect data for both the strategic and core PIs through the Operational Statistics Annual Returns for 2007-08. FRAs are required to submit their data to Data Unit by 31 May 2008. The Data Unit will return calculated PIs to the FRAs by mid July 2008 to enable the appropriate audit to be undertaken.
