Through working closely with individuals the Genesis Project can offer financial assistance and other support for them to access courses and work opportunities.

Genesis Wales 2 is a project addressing barriers such as:

  • lack of childcare support;
  • transport accessibility;
  • debt;
  • alcohol and drug misuse; and
  • work-limiting health conditions.

It also helps build confidence and make people ready for work.

The project will also help individuals to plot a brighter future with support from an advisor who will help to raise individual’s confidence, self esteem and realise their aspirations.

Types of support

Support includes:

  • advisors
  • free or part-funded childcare support
  • support into training
  • individual tailored packages of support
  • mentoring
  • volunteering opportunities/work experience
  • home visits and group support.
