The availability of a choice of quality placements close to children's home environments is essential to providing stability in their lives and better outcomes from care.
A Placement, Choice and Stability Task Group was set up to consider the issues and make recommendations. Three of the recommendations contained within "Choice and Stability" were that the Assembly commission research in fostering, residential care and specialist placements.
