Information for parents of children being bullied
Many children may be involved in bullying other pupils at some time or other. Often parents are not aware.

We know that bullying happens, but preventing it can present a huge challenge. Children and young people need to learn that bullying is wrong and that they should respect others.

Bullying behaviour includes:

  • name calling and nasty teasing
  • threats and extortion
  • physical violence
  • damage to belongings
  • leaving pupils out of social activities deliberately and frequently.
