The Welsh Government has set up a Fund to recognise the contribution community radio stations make to their communities.

We work closely with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and other relevant bodies on broadcasting issues which affect Wales.

The main Government functions relating to broadcasting have not been devolved to the Welsh Government. These responsibilities are retained by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).

The Media Policy Unit provides policy advice to the Minister for Housing, Regeneration and Heritage on television and broadcast radio.

Digital Switchover
