Immersion Education and Intensive Language Teaching

This paper outlines the main features of the Ministerial delegation to Newfoundland and Labrador, and New Brunswick between 16 and 21 September 2001. The delegation was led by Ms Jane Davidson AM, Minister for Education and Lifelong Learning ; Dr Rachel Jones, the Minister’s Special Adviser ; and Keith Davies, Head of Standards and Performance Division of the Assembly’s Training and Education Department.

The paper is not intended as a detailed summary of each and every meeting and visit undertaken during the delegation’s time in the two Provinces.
