Customer Research Programme

A key element of our research programme is to provide evidence on customer needs and satisfaction with the learning experience. Customers include all people that the Department for Children Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills provides services for and engages with.

The key aims of the Customer Research Programme are to:

  • identify the learning needs of people
  • understand what customers think of the education and learning services they receive
  • understand what motivates people to learn.

This programme of research enables the Department to provide services that are citizen centred. By ensuring that learners are at the centre of everything that we do, we can continuously improve the range and quality of available learning provision.
