The National School Sixth Form Survey 2004 was commissioned to build upon the National Satisfaction Survey by assessing levels of satisfaction amongst sixth formers. School Sixth Formers were not included in the National Learner Satisfaction Survey because the methodology was considered inappropriate for this learner group.

The survey was undertaken in February 2004 and is based on the responses of over 5,700 questionnaires and the views from 12 focus groups in 8 schools.

Two workshops were held with teachers and stakeholders to disseminate the survey findings with the purpose of using the findings to inform practice and share best practice in a number of different areas.
