A focus on skills development underpins the whole curriculum and to reinforce this, a non-statutory framework, 'Skills framework for 3 to 19-year-olds in Wales', has been developed.
This framework is a key part of the revised learner-centred and skills-focused curriculum to be implemented from September 2008. It provides guidance about continuity and progression in thinking, communication, ICT and number for learners from 3 to 19 and beyond - skills that are fundamental for learners to become successful individuals.
