This guidance is being issued to support those affected by the exceptional weather derogation period.

In Wales we have agreed, with specific requirements, that farmers can bury sheep, lambs and calves in accordance with EU and domestic regulations.  It is important that farmers read through the guidance - see attached - and continue to do everything that they can to facilitate the removal of carcasses from their farm.

Farmers will need to contact their local authority and discuss the next steps.  The Local Authorities will keep a record of this contact and ask farmers to provide evidence of why the collector was unable to come to the farm.
