These plans set out the systems, procedures and lines of communication involved in an animal disease outbreak.

The Welsh Government Plan also details the "peacetime" preparedness arrangements for dealing with exotic animal disease outbreaks. This has been updated to reflect experience in dealing with disease outbreaks and exercises, most recently with Exercise Silver Birch.
