Confederation of British Industry: David Proctor

Dave currently works at Dow Corning and has held positions in plant management and project management.

Since 2001 he has worked in a variety of energy related roles. In his current role, Dave is responsible for energy development activities for the Dow Corning sites in Europe and Asia. This includes:

  • development and implementation of long term energy sourcing strategies (including renewable energy projects); 
  • negotiating large energy contracts; 
  • supporting site based energy efficiency programmes; and 
  • working with internal and external stakeholders on energy and greenhouse gas policies.

Dave represents Confederation of British Industry (CBI) Wales on the Climate Change Commission for Wales and provides input to the Commission on behalf of larger businesses in Wales. In this role he works closely with the CBI policy teams in both Wales and London.
