The grant scheme is open to organisations from all sectors. Individuals cannot apply. The maximum size of grant will be around £15,000. Grants will fund up to 50% of project costs. In exceptional circumstances, we will consider applications for funding to cover for up to 75%.

The grant scheme has 3 stages. Some applicants will work through all stages, but applicants can enter at any stage.

The 3 stages are:

  • Stage one grants aim to help applicants to explore where they could tackle climate change. It will also help them identify the methods, tools and budget they need to achieve the biggest impact.
  • Stage two grants will help applicants to trial projects. The projects will aim to change behaviours or lifestyle choices that will tackle the causes and consequences of climate change.
  • For applicants that have already successfully trialled a behaviour change project, a stage three grant could help them to roll it out to other areas or on a larger scale.
