Vision of a low carbon and resilient Wales

Cefn Croes Windfarm

Most people are busy dealing with immediate challenges.

If everyone in Wales is going to work together to tackle climate change, we need to be able to see what sort of a future we’re aiming for.

People also need to see how working towards this future can help solve some problems we're facing now, as well as tackling climate change.

Our priorities include:

  • Developing a vision of a low carbon, sustainable Wales that is meaningful to people;
  • Our national campaign making the benefits of choosing everyday low carbon actions visible to people;
  • Creating a website to host the vision, which allows people to share what they are doing to deliver it, and inspire and learn from each other;
  • Developing business cases to set out the benefits for specific sectors to take action on climate change, which people can use to help organisations change; and
  • Ensuring that the action we and the wider public sector are taking (such as making their buildings energy efficient) is visible.
