Local Fuel Poverty Maps for Wales

The Welsh Assembly Government has published a series of maps showing the number and percentage of households in fuel poverty in Wales.

The main data sources used to produce the maps were the 2004 Living in Wales Survey and the 2001 Census. The 2004 Living in Wales Survey identified the characteristics of households most likely to be in fuel poverty. The 2001 Census was used to match these fuel poor households to geographic areas.

These maps are unlikely to accurately reflect the level of fuel poverty today, but the relative concentration of fuel poor households between different areas is unlikely to have changed significantly.
