Summary of project

The projects aim is to assist the physical and economic regeneration of rural Carmarthenshire, through actions which assist the private sector, which will lead to the creation of sustainable employment in the area.

This will be achieved by offering grant aid, in the form of Rural Conversion Grants (RCG) to the private sector.

The Rural Conversion Grants will assist in brining redundant and disused buildings in rural Carmarthenshire, back into business use, which will create new employment opportunities. Priority will be given to applicants who will provide tangible benefits to the local economy in terms of quantity and quality of jobs created.

The grant will be available to the private sector, specifically to micro businesses and social enterprises. The grants will be targeted at new business formations and businesses wishing to relocate or expand.
