Summary of project

The overall aim of the project is to strengthen the identity of rural Carmarthenshire as a place to live; invest and visit. This will be achieved by:

• Enhancing the appearance of key rural settlements to instil local confidence and provide an incentive to business investment. This will be achieved through a strategic environmental enhancement programme focused on the County’s key rural settlements. This will significantly add to the quality of life for local residents and add to the attractiveness of the settlement in terms of business and tourism.
• Assisting the physical and economic regeneration of rural Carmarthenshire, through actions which assist the private sector which will lead to maintaining sustainable employment in the area. This will be achieved by offering grant aid, in the form of Commercial Property Enhancement Grants (CPEG) to the private sector in the key rural settlements of rural Carmarthenshire.
