Summary of project

This project builds on and learns from a project under Business Plan 1 which was designed to guide individuals into self-employment, and to provide business support services to existing micro businesses.

The new project has taken account of the most effective aspects of the above mentioned project, and is looking to eliminate the less effective aspects while adding a new dimension to the delivery process; namely a dedicated Development Officer who will spearhead, manage and co-ordinate project delivery.

This project will:

  • promote entrepreneurship & encourage the establishment of new businesses;
  • provide ongoing support to those looking to become self employed;
  • support the development of existing micro enterprises through the provision of a mentoring service and funding to source specialist advice;
  • and create the potential for growth, long term sustainability and local job opportunities for rural communities in Neath Port Talbot.
