Cross compliance is a European Union (EU) requirement setting out standards that farmers have to meet in order to receive the Single Farm Payment (SFP).

Cross compliance is regulated by the Rural Inspectorate Wales (RIW), which is responsible for carrying out inspections to ensure that the Statutory Management Requirements (SMRs) and Good Agricultural and Environment Conditions  (GAEC) standards are being met. The following bodies may be involved for certain elements of cross compliance inspections:
