Reduce, reuse, recycle

Drive green

Exhaust pipeBoost your car's fuel efficiency by keeping your car properly serviced. Check the engine is properly tuned and keep the tyre pressures properly inflated to save fuel. Make your drive even more eco by emptying unnecessary weight from the boot, and taking roof racks off when not in use as they increase drag.
 

Turn off your mobile charger

The Energy Saving Trust (external link) calculates plugged-in mobile phone chargers waste over £60 million across the UK. Unplug your mobile charger or switch it off at the wall while it's not in use. Save even more energy and money by opting for electrical appliances that are labelled energy efficient. Shop locally and say no to bags

Support your local shops and look for in-season produce, that doesn't need to travel thousands of miles to reach your plate. Use a bag for life and say no to plastic bags, reducing waste.
