Being physically active and eating a healthy balanced diet can improve your health.  

The Welsh Government has invested in a number of schemes to promote physical activity across Wales, particularly for younger people and those in disadvantaged communities.  Information on this can be found within the ‘Climbing Higher – next steps’ area of the website.

Eating a healthy balanced diet has been shown to reduce the risks of many life threatening illnesses including some forms of cancers and coronary heart disease.

The community food co-operative programme is helping people to eat a healthy balanced diet.  The programme enables people to purchase fresh fruit and vegetables at wholesale prices.  Information can be found on how to get involved with the scheme within the food co-operatives section of the website.
