An initiative for employers to improve the health of the workforce and their organisation.

The Corporate Health Standard, run by the Welsh Government, is the quality mark for workplace health promotion in Wales.logo

It is presented in bronze, silver, gold and platinum categories to public, private and third sector organisations implementing practices to promote the health and well-being of their employees.  The free service is delivered by Public Health Wales.

Like other workplace quality initiatives, it is a progressive programme and organisations are reassessed every three years. The work to achieve the standard is consistent with the business excellence model, which drives quality and organisational development in many organisations.

Read what two Corporate Health Standard award winners have to say:

Coleg Gwent adopted the Corporate Health Standard to develop a co-ordinated, wide ranging health and wellbeing programme across our five campuses.  Promoting healthy living has created the opportunity for a range of fun events for staff and learners.  Health and wellbeing is not a stand alone initiative, it is integrated with other groups, policies and strategic goals.  We are now actively working towards achieving the Gold level.
