What we do

Our responsibilities

Investing in housing is about improving people’s homes, but it also contributes to improving their health, well being and quality of life. The Welsh Government is responsible for all aspects of housing policy, funding housing and housing related programmes and regulation of Registered Social Landlords and Housing Associations. 

We are also repsonsible for making communities safer through reducing anti-social behaviour, crime, substance misuse, the incidences and impact of fires and effectively co-ordinating emergencies.
